Who Should You Include in Your Trusted Contacts?

The decisions you make throughout the estate planning and estate settlement process have far-reaching consequences for you and your loved ones. Therefore it is critical that you build a team of trusted advisors to support you along your journey. We call this team your “Trusted Contacts.”

Your “Trusted Contacts” can include professionals, such as an attorney and a financial planner, as well as important family members and friends who have certain designations in your Will or other legal documents. Depending on your individual circumstances and needs, we recommend considering the following individuals for your Trusted Contacts:

Business owners might also consider including a potential successor or trusted colleague.

Often times, your Trusted Contacts has a designated leader. This individual will take on a dominant role in coordinating with the other members and ensuring they stay apprised of developments along the way.
